BETASEED, INC. announces two 2017 Scholarship Winners in the Western Sugar South area. Christopher Fornstrom and Cassidy Butcher were each awarded a $500 Scholarship. Mike Marker, sales representative with Betaseed, presented the checks.

Christopher Fornstrom graduated from Pine Bluffs Sr. High School and will be attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Ag Business. After graduation, he will return home to help manage the family farm. Christopher is the son of Mark and Susan Fornstrom, who farm near Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.

Cassidy Butcher graduated this spring and will be attending Eastern Wyoming College to pursue a degree as a Veterinarian Technician. Cassidy is the daughter of Terry and Stacey Butcher, who farm near Morrill, Nebraska. Cassidy is a member of the Morrill FFA chapter and is also actively involved in 4-H.

Betaseed awards annual scholarships to students to help further their college education. The scholarship committee selected Christopher and Cassidy based on the essays they submitted on “The History and Future of Sugarbeets”. Betaseed is proud to support the region’s youth and wishes Christopher and Cassidy a very successful college career.
