Betaseed celebrates 6th year of holding annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in Wahpeton, ND

On September 17th, 2015, Betaseed coordinated and participated in its sixth annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day event in Wahpeton, ND. The event, designated for children in third and fourth grades, saw over 150 students from schools around the Wahpeton area participate in hands-on safety and educational training activities. These school children had the opportunity to learn the important essentials of many different forms of safety. Staff from the NDSU Extension Service, local businesses, the Wahpeton Fire Department and a police officer also shared meaningful advice about how the children can maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle in their community.

When asked about the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day event, Cody Lehman, Key Account Manager at Betaseed, Inc. stated that “Betaseed is proud to sponsor this event for the sixth straight year and we could not be happier with how it turned out. All of the students had a great time, all while learning important safety measures. We would like to thank all of the volunteers for their participation. Without them, the event would not have been a success.”

By combining fun with education, children truly become excited to learn responsibility for their safety. The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in the Wahpeton area gives children a unique opportunity to learn the basics of safety in their community while having a fun experience. Betaseed looks forward to holding annual Progressive Agriculture Foundation Safety events in the future.
