Betaseed Continues Annual Progressive Safety Day Tradition

Betaseed, Inc. continues annual Progressive Safety Day tradition

On September 25, 2014, Betaseed coordinated and participated in its third annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day event. This event for children in grades 3 through 5, saw over 140 students from local schools in the Gering area take part in hands-on safety demonstrations and educational training activities. Through the activities, these young students learned the important fundamentals of water/canal safety, ATV safety, fire safety, drug awareness, grain bin safety, electrical safety, and bike safety. Volunteers from the Scottsbluff Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee, local businesses, and the police and fire departments also shared helpful tips to encourage safe practices in the community.

When asked about the annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day, John Dillman, Regional Sales Manager at Betaseed, Inc said “Betaseed is proud to sponsor and be involved in this event for the community. We really enjoy working with the children. We would like to thank all of the volunteers for their participation in the event. We could not do this without them.”

Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is an incredibly beneficial opportunity for the young schoolchildren who attend the event. By combining fun and education, children become excited to learn responsibility and the essentials to live safely. Betaseed looks forward to holding future Progressive Agriculture Foundation Safety events in the area.
