Betaseed, Inc. holds another Progressive Agriculture Safety Day

On September 26, 2013, Betaseed organized and participated in its second Progressive Agriculture Safety Day event in Mitchell, NE for children in grades 3 through 5. Over 140 students from local schools in the Scottsbluff and Mitchell area took part in hands-on safety, education and training activities including water/canal safety, ATV safety, fire safety, drug awareness, grain bin safety, electrical safety and bike safety. Many volunteers, including staff from the Scottsbluff Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee, local businesses and police and fire departments shared tips on how to stay safe in their community.

“Betaseed is proud to sponsor and be involved in this event for the community. We really enjoy working with the children. We would like to thank all of the volunteers for their participation in the event. We could not do this without them.” said John Dillman, Regional Sales Manager, Betaseed, Inc.

Combining fun and education is the key to helping children learn responsibility for their own safety. Betaseed looks forward to holding annual Progressive Agriculture Foundation Safety events in this area.
