On September 19, 2013, Betaseed organized and participated in its fourth Progressive Agriculture Safety Day event for children in grades 3 and 4. Over 160 students from local schools in the Wahpeton, ND and Breckenridge, MN area took part in hands-on safety, education and training activities including lawn mower safety, grain bin safety and bike safety. Several volunteers including staff from NDSU Extension Service, local businesses and a police officer shared tips on how to stay safe in their community.
“Betaseed is proud to sponsor this event and we really enjoy working with the children. We would like to thank all of the volunteers for their participation in the event. Without them, the event would not have been a success.” said Cody Lehman, Key Account Manager, Betaseed, Inc.
Combining fun and education is the key to helping children learn responsibility for their own safety. Betaseed looks forward to holding annual Progressive Agriculture Foundation Safety events.
