Betaseed announces a $950 donation to Officer Dustin Hill, a canine patrol officer for the Wahpeton Police Department, and his dog Gypsy. The donation will go towards the departments’ K-9 program and tactical team. This will help the tactical team receive specialized training with Simunition, a non-lethal training ammunition used by law enforcement. “The donation will also provide specialized equipment used for the team’s training and will help with the recent budget cuts that the department faces”, Officer Hill stated.

Officer Hill and Gypsy have been an important part of Progressive Agriculture Safety Days for the past 8 years, an event sponsored by Betaseed. Progressive Agriculture Safety Day’s goal is to teach children how to be safe both on the farm and at home.

In 2015, Betaseed donated $1000 to install a kennel inside Officer Hill’s vehicle. The kennel controls the temperature in the car so Gypsy will always be comfortable and the car will stay at a safe temperature.
