Betaseed, Inc. Increases 2014 Support to Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Program

Kansas City, Mo., July 17, 2013 – Betaseed, Inc. will increase support for the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program by 67 percent in 2014, becoming a Silver Sponsor. A supporter for the past five years, Betaseed’s increased annual donation of $25,000 will allow more than 1,920 rural youth to attend a Safety Day program next year.

“Over the past five years, Betaseed has been actively involved in the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program,” says Mark Schmidt, director of sales and marketing at Betaseed. “All of us at Betaseed recognize the valuable contribution that the Progressive Agriculture Foundation® (PAF) has made to the agricultural community. Future generations will be safer due to the Safety Day programs they attended as children. Betaseed is honored to be a partner with PAF in this effort to keep our children, our most treasured resource, safe and secure.”
Through contributions from sponsors like Betaseed, Inc., PAF is able to advance its commitment to keep rural children safe and healthy. The Foundation provides training and resources to help local community members conduct one-day farm safety and health educational programs that are age-appropriate, hands-on and fun for rural children and families.

“Every year, we have more requests for Safety Day programs than we can honor, and Betaseed’s increased support will allow us to reach even more rural youth with crucial farm safety and health education,” says Randy J. Bernhardt, chief administrative officer of PAF. “Together we are preventing injuries and saving lives on farms and ranches throughout North America.”

Betaseed, Inc., headquartered in Shakopee, Minnesota, is the market leader in sugarbeet seed.
